Method

Mix
the flour with baking powder, soda-bi-carb and cocoa powder

Cream
the milkmaid and butter lightly with a spatula

Mix
the butter and milkmaid concoction with flour and blend it with a beater for a
smooth batter

Mix
in the essence

Grease
a lined tin and pour the batter in it

Bake
for 20 – 25 minutes at 180° degrees

After
baking, invert the tin on a wire rack. Separate the chocolate sponge cake and the lining paper

the cake on a smooth platform. If the cake does not rest properly on the

60 gm
Add sugar and water in a pan and boil
until the sugar melts. Let it cool until it becomes sticky and then use.

Cocoa
powder: ½ cup
·
Sugar:
1 ½ cup
·
Milk:
2 cups
·
Water:
1 cup
Mix the ingredients and heat them in
a deep-bottomed pan on a low flame. Stir constantly to avoid lumps. Stir until
the chocolate mixture thickens. Cool it to a temperature to get the required
consistency. Once cooled, store in the refrigerator so it does not dissolve
when applied on the cake.
